YEP, THIS QUOTE IS PERFECT! HERE IS MY REVIEW:

A New Dream (Dreams Book 1)  by: Alex C. Clarke
                                                               reviewed by: Becky

After his wife Suzanne passed away in a car accident, David slowly retreated into depression. Three years later, he decides to leave France for Boston for a complete life makeover. He hangs up his lawyer three-piece suit to become a bar manager. On the plane, he meets James, co-owner of the bar.

James is a former Marine, a very gay one – tattooed, muscled, and yummy. The problem is, David would like to explore the feelings he has for his boss, but… James doesn't do feelings. At all. Like, never.

I have been wondering about this book since I saw the cover in French, thank goodness it was just released in English! I loved the fresh perspective and writing style of this author, and I am so glad this is a series, I know who I want book 2 to be about ;)!

David is on his way to his new life in Boston, after his wife's passing a few years earlier David has been existing not living, and he is hoping a new job in Boston will change that. His children are of age so David is spreading his wings.

James is on the way to his bar he co-owns with his friend when he meets David on the plane, the two men hit it off, but though James thinks David is attractive he has nothing to do with matters of the heart, besides David is straight right?

David can't explain his attraction to James, he doesn't know what to do about it, what would his children say if they knew? James has demons in his past that make him wary of relationships and love in general, so he couldn't love David, could he?

You will love taking the sometimes hard, but ultimately rewarding journey with these two, and the secondary characters are so well written you will not be able to wait until book 2! Thanks Alex, for making this one worth the wait!

NOW FOR AN EXCERPT :)!!

Time had passed so quickly the night was over before he had even noticed it. It had been full of tension and, for the life of him, he hadn’t been able to stop staring at David. Do you remember Tex Avery’s wolf, eyes bulging and tongue dripping on the floor? Well, that was James in front of David when he came into the kitchen where Bo and James had waited for him. Bo had snickered discreetly but James had heard him nevertheless.

He sighed, thinking about it. When, at last, they finished eating, James had seen Bo to the parking lot. David was gone by the time he came back to the bar. He switched the lights and went upstairs, wincing. His knee was a pain tonight. He was fortunate to not suffer permanently; it could have been much worse but the meds he was on were effective. Tonight though, each step sent shots of electricity to his kneecap.

Arriving on the first floor, he knocked at David’s door. When the only answer he received was complete silence, he sighed again. He was disappointed but could understand why David didn’t want to see him any more tonight. He had to take his distance as well.

He wondered for a moment whether he should go to bed directly or go out and have some fun. In the past, the Fritz Lounge, a jock bar on Chandler Street, was his favorite spot. But he heard the owner had changed and he didn’t know what replaced it yet. It might be worth the effort.

He yawned widely. No, it would have to wait. He was too tired, he suffered too much and, to be honest, he had his plate full with David. He was unsure what to do next. He didn’t want to spook him but he didn’t want to count on him for the next move either. He wanted him. Badly. He didn’t only want his body; he wanted to show him his deepest desires, those which had haunted James’ memory for a long time.

(SNICKERS) SEE TOLD YOU I HAD A REASON FOR THAT WAY COOL RATING ;P! THANKS FOR JOINING ME FOR MY LOOK AT A NEW DREAM, RUN AND GET IT FRIENDS, YOU WILL LOVE IT AS MUCH AS I DID!
