The Mating Games gathering has arrived!
Finding ones mate is not always easy. Not everyone's mate is always the same species and the Council knows this, so they designed a way for all types of shifters and other paranormals to come together. Have some fun, meet new people, and if you are one of the lucky ones....find your mate.
Just being a skunk shifter, isn't easy. Try being a skunk as well as a socially inept genius. For Ricky, that was his life. However, he was now at the Mating Games to try and change who he is. He wanted a mate. He wanted someone that would love him for who he is and not think him strange or boring.
Derk had been trying to find his mate for years. With the urging of his best friend, Derk said he would give the Mating Games gathering one last chance. Being the quarterback to the large shifter football team requires lots of practice. However, he didn't expect it to bring him to his adorable mate.
The thing is, not only does Derk want him, but so does the Council, and they will do whatever it takes to have Ricky in their possession.
Can Derk keep his mate safe, or will the council jump in and intercept his mating.

Everyone knows I love this author, and whatever she gives me I love, and this delightful little read is no different! Cree Storm's writing is so diverse, but all of them are wonderful!
Ricky came to the Mating Games to hopefully find his mate, a skunk shifter that is also a genius assures that he is sort of an outcast. Ricky just wants to matter to someone besides his family and close friends. When he meets Derk it looks like his wish is coming true, if Ricky doesn't freak out first!
Derk gave it one last chance to find his mate, and he is delighted to find cute little Ricky, but after Ricky freaks out and he finds a little bit more about his background and the people that want Ricky (at least his brain) for themselves, can he keep his mate safe?
This is such a great story, and Ricky will give you a giggle, but the cliffhanger with one of the new couples will make you want book 2 like NOW (hint hint Cree :P)! Grab it friends, you will love it just as much as I did! Thanks Cree, for giving us a great book no matter what you decide to write about!!

Smelling jasmine and cloves, Derk knew
that his mate was close.
Derk couldn't hold back his smile as the
small black and white animal scurried
up to him and sniffed his shoe.
Bending,
Derk went to pick Ricky up when Ian
yelled, "I wouldn't do that if I were you."
Derk immediately released his hold on
his mate as he looked at Ian, asking,
"Why not? He's my mate. I should be
able to hold him if I like."
Ian snorted, "That may be, but he hates
when someone tries to hold him like a
puppy. He will spray you or bite you,
because he can't stand to be petted."
Derk looked down at Ricky.
Ricky chirped and Derk felt a sadness
accost him, "You don't stay so we can
talk, you run off with your friend, and
now I am told I can't even touch you. I
get it."
Derk stood up and started to walk away
when a growling and hissing noise was
made behind him.
Turning, Derk said with sadness, "I get
it, Ricky and it's okay. You don't want a
mate. You have your friends and you
have your lab, you don't need or want
me. It's okay, if you change your mind, I
understand you're smart enough to find
me."
Derk continued walking until he heard
Ian yell, "Watch out!"
Turning quickly, Derk watched as a
black and white fuzzy came running at
him and leapt high, into his arms. Ricky
was chirping and growling at the same
time and then climbed on Derk's
shoulder.
Wiggling around, trying to get a hold of
his mate so he didn't fall, Derk hissed,
"What the hell are you doing Ricky? Get
down from there before you fall and hurt
yourself."
Ricky took that opportunity to nip his ear
and Derk hissed, "What the fuck was that
for? Ricky, get off me."
Ian sauntered to Derk with his arms
crossed, "Now you did it."
Derk kept trying to grab at Ricky, but
damn he was fast and if Derk was not
mistaken, the guy was a bit pissed.
"You pissed him off." Ian said as he
watched Derk try to catch Ricky.
Derk finally got a hold of Ricky only to
have his finger bit.
Growling, Derk snatched Ricky from his
shoulder and smacked the skunk on his
ass, then snapped, "Ricky knock it off
damn it!"
Ricky immediately stopped moving and
Derk grasped Ricky by his sides and
brought him eye level, "Why did you bite
me?"
Ricky started hissing and squealing at
Derk.
Derk scowled at Ricky saying, "Stop
yelling at me.If you want to talk, we'll
talk, but I will not be yelled at. So if
you're willing to talk to me, then shift
and we can talk."
HEHEHE HOW CUTE WAS THAT? MAN I LOVE RICKY, YOU WILL LOVE HIS TOO! THANKS FOR JOINING ME FOR MY REVIEW GUYS, NOW WE CAN BUG CREE FOR BOOK 2 :)
